Hey everyone, 

First, I want to apologize for my recent radio silence. It's been an extremely tumultuous couple of weeks, and I've been traveling full time and preparing the storage space and shipping materials necessary to get the books out as quickly as possible when they arrive.

That said, look what arrived in the mail!

It's the production sample of the hardcover edition, and this means the full bulk of them aren't far behind....
Unfortunately, the printer is still a little squirrely about a precise date for their arrival at my place for signing. It seems like they will be here around the end of this month (June), and I'll keep you all up to date to the best of my ability and inform you if anything happens or changes, as always.

You may have noticed that the book is REALLY FREAKIN' BIG! :D And that's not a bug, it's a feature. I wanted to capture the effect of a real textbook, and it definitely feels like one as you hold in your hands! 300+ pages makes a real difference in the weight and size of your book!  I can't wait until each and every one of you gets to experience this bizarre, fantastic, beautiful book for yourselves!

As always, thank you so much for your patience and understanding. Creating a book is a long, difficult, and multi-faceted process with lots of variables that fall outside our control. However, having finally experienced the final book in person I can tell you that it's totally exceeded my expectations! You've helped create something pretty incredible, and your input, assistance, encouragement, perspectives, and support have made this final product possible!

We're sooooooo close!

Final Chance for the THANK YOU SECTION and SURVEY

Hey everyone!

First off, thank you all so much for your kind and patient responses regarding the recent slight production delays! There was an outpouring of support and understanding that you don't always see on the internet, and it made me want to throw myself into the project more than ever!

Second, the position of editor has been filled! I got a lot of messages from backers like you (over 100), and although I didn't respond to every single one, I did read them all. Since there were so many, it was a sort of first come, first serve arrangement. I contacted people and checked out their profiles/resumes in the order that they came to me.

Now onto the really IMPORTANT STUFF, If you haven't finished your surveys you need to do it by the end of the week. I'll be locking down the Survey results this Saturday (April 22) and the book is planned to go to the printers the following Monday (April 24). After that it should be about 6-weeks until they are shipped to you, but I'll keep you posted.

A few people from the Gym Leader ($60) tier haven't answered the THANK YOU section question on their surveys. This question lets me know what name to print in the physical book, and if it is not answered I will just use the name on your survey.

And finally, to round out a relatively business-like update, here's the #1 most requested Pokémon illustration to celebrate going to the printers!

Lest you think I'm showing too much, the final book has each of these 152 organisms scientifically labelled and includes a detailed entry on their Physiology, Behavior, and Characteristics. All based firmly in real world biology and veterinary science (that's why it's taking so long, haha).
